Searching for a printer in my network I found a  Samsung ml 1676 printer. To setup this printer on my Ubuntu 12.04, here’s what I did :

  • Open terminal (alt + ctrl + T) and go to the directory where you downloaded UnifiedLinuxDriver_0.92.tar.gz.
  • Extract the downloaded tar by typing tar -xf UnifiedLinuxDriver_0.92.tar.gz in the terminal window. This would create the driver folder cdroot  in the same directory.
